About Dee DeLeon, LPCC

Here for you. Rooted in experience.

Dee DeLeon is the founder of Strawberry Valley Counseling Services, a licensed professional clinical counselor in California, and a National Board Certified Counselor.

Dee's interest in becoming a therapist began while working as a court advocate for children in the foster care system. That experience revealed how events beyond a person's control can shape a life and a worldview.

Her advocacy includes work with Indigenous children under the Indian Child Welfare Act, honoring and respecting the protocols of their nations.

Those experiences shaped her commitment to unconditional therapeutic support and the belief that anyone equipped with the appropriate skills can develop a healthy relationship with themselves and the world around them.

Her clinical focus includes complex trauma, PTSD, and vicarious trauma related to front-line workplace exposure. Her work also includes neurofeedback, art-based techniques and exercises, and Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), a correctional-based treatment for inmates, probationers, and parolees.
