Accessibility statement
Strawberry Valley Counseling Services wants everyone to be able to use this website, including visitors who are blind or low-vision, deaf or hard of hearing, have a mobility or cognitive difference, or use assistive technology such as a screen reader, magnifier, switch device, or keyboard instead of a mouse.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the recognised benchmark for accessible websites, and to follow the same principles when new pages, images, or documents are added.
What this site is built to do
- Keyboard use — the menu, links, and buttons can be reached and operated with the Tab, Enter, and Escape keys, and the current location is shown with a visible focus outline.
- Screen readers — pages use real headings, labelled navigation regions, and descriptive link and button names, so the structure can be read in order.
- Text and colour — text can be enlarged in the browser without losing content, and colour combinations are chosen to keep a readable contrast level.
- Movement — gentle motion is used throughout, and the site respects the "reduce motion" setting in your device's accessibility preferences.
- Images — decorative artwork is hidden from screen readers, and meaningful images carry alternative text.
Getting in touch another way
Nothing on this site is required to begin care. If any part of it is difficult to use, you are welcome to call 530.423.5044, ask for information in another format, or use the practice's secure client portal for scheduling, paperwork, and payments.
Tell us about a barrier
Feedback is welcome and is used to fix problems. If something on a page makes it hard to read, navigate, or complete a task, please describe the page and what happened. Please avoid sending detailed health information through unsecured channels.
Call 530.423.5044 or send a note through the secure contact page ↗.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is reviewed as the site changes, but no website is ever finished. Some older pages or downloaded documents may not yet meet every guideline; those are corrected as they are found. This statement was last reviewed in October 2026.
